For my honours project I aimed to create a collection of reactive screen-printed fashion prints inspired by landscapes and hills in the Scottish Borders. I began the project by painting from my photographs. The colours of the tones and shapes of the landforms were adjusted when creating my paintings, this allowed them to be easily developed into abstract prints suitable for skirt designs. Forecasted trends for S/S 21 printed fashion fabrics influenced my work, this mainly included marbleised prints and brush mark designs. My designs were developed on photoshop through editing sections of my artwork together and through separating colours and layering different separated colours from sections of my paintings together.
