My final honours project takes the form of both A fashion publication and portfolio folio which explicitly delves into the personal insights of dealing with navigating dual nationality and identity within the South Asian and Middle Eastern community from Amelie perspective. The project itself is driven by and tailored to, having a voice that explores the traditional and contemporary nuances from those migrated to Scotland and those born and bred relating to identity, Racism and Religion, as well as touching on issues such as the refugee crisis and islamophobia, all whilst encompassing the concepts of diversity and modesty.
I see the project overall as an entity that is uplifting, resonating and inspiring to those who choose to suit to their surroundings. Thus acting as a source of empowerment, influencing the youth and millennial generation today, to embrace their enriching cultural differences that make them unique.
