My final major project, titled <1%, explores the idea of older age as a second childhood, a revival of youth. I remember my Gran once telling me that when you reach a certain age, you feel forgotten about by society. Through my project, I aim to empower women 60+, pushing them to live in the present while reflecting on their youth and past experiences. Older women should not be defined by societal expectations, because after all, you are only as old as you feel.
My final portfolio looks at the six main types of pollution currently affecting our planet. I have created powerful and impactful imagery, making use of discarded rubbish for styling and keeping my carbon footprint to a minimum. The project is a wakeup call, encouraging others to think before they act.
