GRANNY PANTS

My publication ‘GRANNY PANTS’ explores societal taboos upon elderly women within fashion. Drawing upon social expectations of an aging woman’s femininity, beauty, sexuality and how they are illustrated within contemporary society. ‘GRANNY PANTS’ aims to switch the expectations of an older woman, rejecting societies homogenised stereotypes of said women and promote confidence within individuality of all ages. It is for this reason all of my models ages range from 63-85 years old, pushing the conversation of inclusivity beyond trends and commercial profit and towards lasting social change.
