M(i)X

M(i)X is an exploration of identity through woven textiles, specifically my own gender identity as a non-binary person and the journey towards understanding it that I have had, with finishes such as screen-printed details using a graffiti style font I developed. The intention was to convey a celebratory mood through this project as I wanted to emphasise that it is definitely something to take pride in, especially considering how often transgender people are pressured to feel ashamed of who we are even now. To this end, everything within the project was carefully considered with the intention of creating a celebration of identity in riotous colour that could be used for an unusual gender-neutral clothing collection.
