My project aimed to produce a range of furnishing fabric designs inspired by Italian paintings from 1500-1800 combined with further inspiration through generating my own geometric shapes. The main designs consider large scale repeat formations suitable for both fabric and wallpaper.
The colour palettes that I used were selected because they reminded me of personal experiences from home, Italy.
I have screen printed 3 fabric lengths onto classic furnishing fabrics such as natural linen, cotton canvas and linen/cotton and one design was digitally printed on cotton canvas.
This collection could connect with the same audience and sit alongside the work of design houses such as House of Hackney, Santorvs London and Pierre Frey.
